I have an iPhone 3GS jailbreaked with Cydia with iOS 5.11. I tried to upgrade it via iTunes to the 6.1 version using Cydia guidelines, but accidentaly restored it without installing the new firmware manually! Stupid mistake i know!
Now my iPhone doesn't ask for my simlock anymore, wants me to set up language and so on and when i connect it to iTunes, it doesn't recognize it!
So, is there a solution for this? I'm on an iMac. Should i try to downgrade and how?
And if there's no solution to that, what does that mean for this iPhone? if i wanted to use it now as it is, should i get a new simcard or?

Thank you all if you can help!

Why would that be a carrier problem? Do you mean that even when i have done all this, the iPhone should have been activated anyway?

Sounds like ya baseband had been updated. Like you use a gevey sim or something that needs to be used to unlock your phone then huh? Sorry just a bit confused.

It's not that my iPhone is locked. Usually before, it asked for my sim code. But now that i've upgraded and restored it, it's like it's a brand new one that doesn't recognize me anymore!
