See my RainbowLight on the ModMyI installer (thanks, poetic_folly) that provides all colors, all brightness and adjusts the backlight with brightness.

Set your brightness to minimum and turn off autobrightness.
Start RainbowLight and tap the lower left for full bright white.
Press the Home button and see SpringBoard start to display at full brightness and then dim to your Preferences setting.

    Does this happen for you?

Hey NetMage. Thanks for the app. I never downloaded it before now cuz i didnt know what it was. However, do you think you could make it easier to choose the colour you want. Right now, im not really sure where the colours and brightnesses are. Maybe you could do a colour palette type thing where the upper half is brighter and the lower is for selecting darker colours.

Why do you need a color palette? Is it really that hard to run your finger across the screen until you find the color you need? I mean, come on! You want the developer to add more code, making the application more bloated because it's inconvenient for you to remember where white red and yellow are at? Unless you want it to blink pink or purple... in that case... I'm not going there.

nevermind actually lol. I didnt really mean an actual colour palette in the app but a more logical layout of the colours. When i first used the app, i was kinda confused cause there is a red section at the top and bottom of the screen, and then full brightness at a random corner. i thought the colour placement was arbitrary, but right now i figured it out lol.

Yeah, hue runs from top to bottom, but the left hand side is for black to white.

That way you get three "hot" corners - white, black and red. I couldn't put yellow in a corner to make "Blink" functionality as easy to access, but its pretty quick for most purposes.
