I am wondering if anyone can write an app that would disable the speaker output.

the purpose would be so i can play music through a bluetooth headset by changing the voicemail output to "headset" while the music is playing
(it currently playes through the speakers and the headset.

a bonus would be to have the app built into the ipod app. so i can easily switch to headset output.

if there is another way to listen to music through the headset please let me know!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but shouldn't a request for an app go in the 3rd Party Apps Requests section? I could be way off base but that seems fairly logical to me.

it seems like such a simple app (i don't know how to make it though)

just something that enables the "bluetooth voicemail on" hack and also silences the external speaker.

then you could listen to music mono through your bluetooth headset

*edit just found this on another iphone forum

they said that it also works with the motorola S9 stereo headset too.

"This adaptor will operate the itunes and phone feature on the iPhone perfectly. Once it is paired with the iPhone, attempt to make a phone call and it will ask you which one of the three (wireless headset, speakerphone, or iPhone) devices you wish to use for the phone. Simply select your wireless headset and you are set."
