a news like native MMS app sure sounds good to all of us. I hope it will be included in the installer. But I still think something like that should come from Apple, less bugs to worry about.

I don't care who it is from, but it is definately needed.

If it is from Apple I won't donate

If it is a 3rd party I will donate heavily.

Why the hell didn't apple and att just arrange for all mms messages to be forwarded to an email address of your choice, with the picture attached? for god's sake.

We have just released our native MMS application for the iPhone! Note, this is a v0.1 release that is not feature complete! Specifically, it is NOT possible to receive MMSs yet.

We will make this release available via Installer but you can download the files now from http://blog.swirlyspace.com

Download, unzip, copy to /Applications/MMS.app/ and chmod +x mms.

    Have fun!

The mmsc server setting is an address to your service provider's Multimedia Messaging System Center that handles the multimedia messages you send from your phone. Sometimes service providers use an intermediate proxy server, which must be configured in those cases.

You configure those server settings in the MMS application's Setting panel.

Ask your service provider or google for your specific server settings!

Some service providers don't use a proxy server, in which case you leave that field blank.

Thanks again for the MMS program.
    You are welcome :-)

Cant wait until the final program!
    Be patient! ;-)

I downloaded MMS but dont know what the settings are for T-Mobile USA.
It asks for MMSC and a proxy.
Anyone know what they should be or direct me to where I can find them?
    Thanks

If only there were some way to develop iPhone apps within windows.. I'm a programmer but I'm without a mac and as far as I know, all development is reserved for the mac coders.

Here you go MMS Native App v0.1

The MMS native app as it stands right now is mostly useless and from what I can see so far, the developers aren't very communicative..

The app lacks some important configurable options which prevents it from working with certain carriers, such as T-mobile USA .. it also lacks the ability to receive MMS.

The issue is that it was released long before it was ready and it's caused a stir, which is dandy, but only if there is a channel of communication.

I think the MMS app would the a perfect candidate for open source development.. I'd work on something like this free and open if I had a mac!
