    O M G, Nuff Said.

The movie, for the most part, was a frame by frame replication of the comic. It was awesome. The ending was changed from the original, but I really didn't feel like it would've transferred over to the movies well.

The only part I didn't like was the music. It seems like they took a playlist of bad retro songs and put it on shuffle. 90% of the songs actually took away from the dramatic scenes that were trying to be portrayed.

All in all, I loved it. Go see this movie and go read the book. Both were amazing in their own respects. They were so similar, yet they were worlds apart.

I have tix for the 10:00 show tonight. I was surprised to see the runtime at 2 hours 43 mins! I'm hoping there's not too much down time so I don't feel like i've been sitting there 3 hours.

I saw it with my friends. It. Goes. On. For. Freaking. Ever. Seriously, the camera dezooms, far away, ending music plays....and another plot starts. The movie was really good, but it was also kind of twisted. I hadn't read the book, so i thought it was going to just be like superheros pwning, but it was much more in depth than that. And can the chick sleep with any more guys? I mean come on, everysingle guy she sees she jumps on.
LOL! DOesnt everyone know that only real women know how to handle a stick?
As long as Miguel can blow...he's straight.
I dread that first dusting of the white stuff.
ready for a romp buddy? ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

I had no prior knowledge of the book and went in with an open mind. I came out thinking.. "wow, that was a dark drama.. not an action packed super hero movie like I was lead to believe." In the end I felt entertained and it was worth the $9.00.

The book/storyline was meant to really shake the foundations of the average superhero. I feel that the novel did a better job at it than the movie did, solely because you can stay on a frame as much as you want or go back to other frames to really understand what is going on. In the movie, not so much. That's why I recommend reading the book before seeing the movie.

I dont know what Watchmen GN you read, but if you think this was anywhere close to frame by frame replication then you need to re-read the GN. The movie was decent at best if you never read the GN. If you did read the GN you'll be urked by the lacking of pivotal points.

Some cool Easter Eggs to look for:
    1. Comedians apt # is 3001 but the '1' gets knocked off reading '300'
    2. The combo to Dr Longs briefcase is '300'
    3. There was a Spartan helmet on Adrian's desk
    4. Veidt "Millenium" billboards in New York at the very end
    5. The Comedian uses a Miss Jupiter zippo
    6. When we see Ozy's computer screens showing "Dr. Manhattan's" bombs going off around the world there is a screen that says "S.Q.U.I.D"
    7. Veidt having a folder in the Pyramid Industries floppy called "Boys" - it was pretty much assumed he was gay in the comics
    8. When the camera zooms out of the roof at Karnak, Ozy's body is at a 11.55 angle, considering the round room with periodic markers - 5 minutes to midnight
    9. Superman shield on the Rochefeller sign
    10. Veidt shown with David Bowie, Village People, Mick Jagger, and Divine
    11. Ozy's wall of screens - Marvin the Martian, The original 300 spartans, Road Warrior, Porn, Pobert Palmer video, The day the Earth Stood Still, Rambo: First Blood Part II, Friday the 13th
    12. On the TV when they're reporting Dr. Manhattan's disappearance, they freeze frame on his face, it's the exact same pose as Leonidas's THIS IS SPARTA! face
    13. Andy Warhol and Truman Capote
    14. Gotham Opera House and its plastered with old school Batman posters
    15. A copy of The Watchmen GN on Night Owl's desk

On 14 you failed to mention that Nite Owl I is saving the Wayne family from the robber. The opera poster for the show being shown in the Opera House is the same Opera being watched by the Wayne Family in Batman Begins.

6 gets mentioned earlier. The project he and Manhattan are working on is called SQUID (forgot what it stood for)

Also, the old man Veidt meets with (and get shot in the face) is Lee Iacocca, the one who revived the American Automotive Industry.

Also almost all of the songs in the movie are quoted/mentioned in the GN.

The gun Laurie shoots Veidt with is the same gun she uses to knock out the cop in the prison riot. You can see the gun tucked in her back during Mars.

When the fight at the end begins, you can for a moment see the Television screens go out one by one as the plan is triggered.

And I firmly believe this is the best adaptation we could have ever hoped for. When you get to see/read interviews of what the studios wanted cut, it makes you really appreciate all the love that went into this movie. Off the top of my head, the studios felt, and I quote "nothing happend in Mars and we don't need Kovak's backstory so they should get cut".

My 14 is correct, that isnt the Wayne family that a few boards are posting, is it similiar sure, but its not the Wayne family. If it was then Batman wouldnt exist and you can clearly see the Batman posters behind them

If it is the Waynes then Bruce would be a child and he is never shown. If anything its a slight 'ode cause the woman is wearing a peral necklace. Just like the 'ode to superman during the riots.

Also i think you are confusing easter eggs with scene continuation, like the gun for example. As for S.Q.U.I.D, it doesnt stand for anything it was there way of putting the "squid" in instead of putting the actual Squid from the GN. It was a decent adaptation but far from perfect. The movie left out key pivotal moments to non key moments, like the sugar cubes of Rorschach, the hover boards that Night Owl and Rorschach use, to the whole ending, and to who dies and who doesnt. Plus in the GN everything was revealed at the end of the story not 1/2 through like the movie

Yes, but they only added it to the movie because they removed the actual squid from the GN Zach has said that in numerous interviews lol

I thought it was good but long... when I came out of the theater all the good parts were greatly overshadowed by the shear fact that halfway through it, instead of other long movies where the time flies by, I was thinking, "jeez, when is this over...". But a couple days later after talking with friends about it, I realized I liked it better then I thought.

Oh, and btw, everyone forgot to mention Dr. Manhattan's blue penis that showed up a bunch of times, I hadn't read any reviews so I didn't anticipate them showing that hahaha... In my theater the first time the camera panned down someone, while it was silent, yelled 'OH GOD YES'. Everyone laughed.
