    Hey everybody! I thought I'd make a thread dedicated to some cool/wacky things that can be done in UNIX/SSH. To start it off, here's something that happens every time I log on

    it cant be more difficult then a text/hex edit, can it? (i dont have linux)
    or is it something you add through terminal?

    now THAT is pretty damn cool. I'd never be able to figure out how to do that myself, but its still cool

    Alright guys, i guess I'd better tell you how to do it. After all, we're all one big family anyway, right? In a previous post, I said only motd. That was supposed to be a hint. What you do is you drop a file named motd into /etc with the text you want it to output once you ssh into your device. Really, it's that simple. I attached mine here as an example (I figured out how to color it since the screenshot!) Enjoy.
