Been a while since my computer building days but I am pretty sure you will need a new motherboard if you are gonna update your processor to one of the newer models around.

Which pretty much means building (or buying) a new PC from scratch.

There's no way you can pop in a chip with a different architecture. CPUs have different "sockets" which must match to the motherboard. Pentium is different than Core 2 Duo which is different than Corei which is different than 2nd gen Corei... They all require different mother boards.

I build pc's. Here are the cpu's that are supported with your motherboard.

    http://www.cpu-upgrade.com/mb-MSI/P4...(MS-7160).html

It looks like you will not be able to install a duel core CPU. You will have to get a new mother board CPU and ram that the board supports. The ram you have now is DDR2 and you might be able to salvage depending on the mother board you choose. Now a days motherboards are using DDR3 and DDR2 are not easily found with a CPU to go with them.

For a cheap rebuild you can keep everything and replace your motherboard and chip only. This board will support your ram.

Click the link and scroll down a bit they have a deal on mother board and duel core CPU for $85.

It will run your game fine. I would do some reading if you have never installed a motherboard and CPU. Ask some friends if they know or know anyone who does. It's not hard but I don't want you to try and have it not work for you.
