The popular Mailbox e-mail application for iOS by Orchestra has received an update to version 1.3 Thursday morning that adds native support for the iPad so that the application's e-mail experience can take full advantage of the larger canvas that the iPad has to offer over the iPhone or iPod touch.
Today's update also addresses some bug fixes that will make the application more stable in everyday use.
Mailbox was acquired by Dropbox about two months ago, and since then has done away with the reservation system that, because of the long waits, made several people change their minds about trying the application for their e-mail needs.
Currently, Mailbox still only supports Gmail, but support for additional e-mail providers is coming soon.
The update is available for free in the App Store via the Updates tab for existing users. Alternatively, the latest version of Mailbox for iOS can be downloaded for free via this App Store link.
