
Skype has Thursday issued an update to the iOS application for iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad, bringing it to version 4.9.
Skype’s latest update focuses on improvements to the application's stability and reliability, including a more reliable audio and video calling experience. In addition, Skype for iOS has received a much more reliable photo-sharing feature, which allows users to send photos from their Camera Roll. Photo-sharing was originally introduced to the Skype application for iOS for the first time last August.
Skype has also gained a much more accessible video messaging, making it easier than ever before to send video messages. Notably, Skype has made video messaging free and unlimited for everyone.
The Skype application for iOS has also gained some all-around general bug fixes and improvements to help with the application’s overall security and reliability. Existing users of Skype for iOS can download the update from the Updates tab in the App Store.
