• AirPort Utility Updated for Both the iOS and Mac Platform

    Apple recently released small updates for the AirPort Utility for both the iOS and Mac platforms. Both updates help resolve an issue where AirPort base stations may not appear in AirPort Utility. These updates follow last month’s release of new AirPort Extreme Base Stations and Time Capsules that provided support for the 802.11ac wireless protocol.


    Those of you who aren't familiar with AirPort Utility can read the following description of the software to understand what it does:

    Use AirPort Utility to manage your Wi-Fi network and AirPort base stations, including AirPort Express, AirPort Extreme, and AirPort Time Capsule — right from your iPad, iPhone, or iPod touch. See a graphical overview of your Wi-Fi network and devices. Change base station and network settings, or manage advanced features such as security modes, wireless channels, IPv6 configuration, and more.
    The AirPort Utility for iOS is a free download for those of you who use it often or want to try it. Alternatively, the AirPort Utility for Mac can be found by running a Software Update on your Mac.
