On the heels of Apple's recent acquisition of Matcha, everyone in the tech space is gearing up to report something from Apple with regard to its future pans for the living room. Whether it's as simple as an Apple TV refresh or something more elaborate - like the connected HD iTV we keep hearing about - the pressure is on Apple to dazzle us. And soon.
To that end, a new report surfacing Friday suggests that a major announcement from Apple that is somehow pertinent to a television project may come in November. That information comes to us by way of a former Tech Crunch reporter who is now a venture capitalist.
According to MG Siegler:
The latest things like I've heard are some sort of television product — not necessarily a television screen but something — could be coming as soon as this November. And I think there's some surprises there about what it could actually be and I don't for sure what it could actually be but there's been whispers about, so I'm not going to write anything about it, but there's whispers out there that the interaction with it could be the interesting thing. People have talked about voice, but I think that's out the window and there might be some new way to interact with whatever this thing is.
