Apple unveiled iWork for iCloud at WWDC 2013, a new feature for iCloud that will allow users to access productivity suite tools from a Web browser on almost any machine such as Pages, Numbers, and Keynote. iWork for iCloud is to be released to the public this Fall, but the service is currently available as a public beta as of last week.
Apparently, since the launch of the public beta of iWork for iCloud, Apple has been experiencing large loads of traffic. In this situation, Apple finds no better solution than to limit access to users until Apple's hardware can be updated to support the large loads of traffic. Users are intermittently receiving a message on the iCloud Web site Monday that alerts them of Apple's "overwhelming response" from users, and that the iWork for iCloud service will be back shortly.
