    Has a plastic prototype enclosure for Apple's 'iPhone 5C' just turned turned up on eBay?

    That's what we're told. And that appears to be what's for sale at this hour.

    With just days to go before the anticipated September 10th unveiling of the iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C, every dawn brings with it a new set of reports, rumors, or a combination of the two suggesting that Apple's two new devices are good to go.

    With a current bid of $72 (from 16 bidders), this "REAL PROTOTYPE Apple iPhone 5C!" is generating a lot of buzz today even though the seller doesn't admit to much in terms of how the enclosure was procured.

    "This is a REAL PROTOTYPE of the Apple iPhone 5C!," the description reads. "This includes the back housing of the soon-to-be released iPhone 5C! This is non-working phone. This version is the white version, I do have more colors. I have a few more back housings to put up once this one sells. If you are interested in the details be sure to message me. Also if you bid on this item and win, and want a different color, send me a message and I'll see what I can do!"

      This is a lawsuit waiting to happen. This will probably be taken down within couple of hours or faster by request of Apple via thru a lawyer/s anyways. Lol

      Removing it may just add to the legitimacy of the 5c. With the reveal only two weeks out it might be smarter to just leave it. It's not like it's a working prototype found in a bar. But I guess it's Apple's call.

      This thing is a joke from someone that thinks they will get the cash right away. eBay and PayPal have new polices set up that if U don't have a high rating. U have to wait for 3 days after the item is received. So this scam isn't gonna work out.
