• Official iTunes Festival App Updated with Video Streaming

Apple recently updated its iTunes Festival app for iOS giving the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch owners the ability to stream video from its music festival in London. The video streaming feature is the sole new update brought in version 4.1 of the iTunes Festival London 2013 app. The app provides artist information, news and schedules for the acts performing at this yearís festival in London. Users who are interested in downloading the free 38.9 MB app will need to use an iPhone, iPod or iPad running iOS 6.0 or later.

Those who use the app will have the ability to stream some of the performances as they are happening while other performances will be reserved for later download. Users on iTunes and Apple TV owners will have the opportunity to watch some of the performances in high definition as well. Much like previous years, Apple TV owners should find an iTunes Festival channel on their devices, which will give them access to the music content.

The festival is set to kick off this Sunday in London and each night in September will feature a performance from different artists. In total more than 60 artists are currently set to perform in the festival including Justin Timberlake, Ellie Goulding and Robin Thicke.

The festivalís lineup was announced by Apple in May as the company boasted it as "the best ever with an incredible lineup of global superstars and emerging artists." Apple reactivated the @iTunesFestival Twitter handle as well around the same time to help provide better information regarding the performances and accurate scheduling details.

Will any of you be tuning in?
