• VMware Fusion 6 Released With Support for OS X Mavericks, Windows 8.1, Latest Macs

VMware on Wednesday released VMware Fusion 6 for Mac OS X. The update adds support for the upcoming OS X Mavericks operating system for Mac machines, as well as support for Windows 8.1. More notably, WMware Fusion 6 is ready to take optimal advantage of Apple’s upcoming Mac computers that come with Intel's Haswell processors. VMware Fusion 6 comes with speed improvements as well.

VMware Fusion is one of the most popular ways to run Windows and other operating systems on the Mac. It can integrate with Apple's Bootcamp so that you can run the Bootcamp partition virtually, or you can simply create a virtual machine separate from Bootcamp that you can run virtually.

VMware Fusion 6 is available in both a regular version and in a professional version. The regular version will cost $59.99, while the professional version will cost $129.99. If the user owns VMware Fusion 4 or 5, they can purchase the regular version of VMware Fusion 6 at the discounted price of $49.99.
