• Path Version 3.2 Brings Premium Subscriptions, Private Sharing and Inner Circles

Path, the increasingly popular private social network, recently released a major new update to its iPhone and iPad application which enables paid accounts while bringing a couple of other improvements like private sharing, the ability to engage with your inner circles, several new stickers and more. Users will also have the ability to manage friends in-app more easily thanks to the firsts list in the left menu and messages in the right menu. For those of you who didn’t know, accessing friends as a multi-tap functionality before, one which left many users frustrated.

To start things off right with the new update, Path has a new iOS 7-friendly app icon. The most important feature of version 3.2 of Path is the support for paid Premium accounts. Whether or not you fall under the category of users who support Path, users are given the option to subscribe for Path Premium to obtain exclusive benefits such as unlimited free sticker packs, unlimited camera filters and early access to new shop items. The service mentions the following regarding their premium accounts:

Upgrade to Path Premium and get exclusive benefits, including unlimited sticker packs, unlimited camera filters, and early access to new Shop items. Plus, you’ll be joining the movement to keep our personal lives private and ad-free.
According to a message on Path’s blog earlier this month, a Premium Path account is available for purchase at an annual subscription of $14.99 on the iOS and Android platform. You can also opt for a one-month subscription for $1.99 on Android or a three-month subscription on iOS for $4.99. The company promised to add additional features to Path Premium that will allow users to “further customize and personalize your Path.”

Of the new features supported, the private sharing feature introduces even more finely-grained controls so you can have complete control over who sees each post and share nay Path moment privately with one or more friends. The release notes mention the following:

“Capture a moment and share it privately with one or more friends on a moment-by-moment basis,” the startup says in iTunes release notes.
Furthermore, another key feature in the update was the Inner Circle feature. Path now allows users to define a group of friends that will be in your inner circle and share moments only with that particular subset of Path friends. Users can also filter their feed to see only moments by Inner Circle friends and tell Path to only push alerts from your Inner Circle.

As usual with any update, version 3.2 also comes with under-the-hood fixes and stability improvements.
