On Monday, Skype revealed in a blog post its plans to launch an updated version of its Skype instant messaging application (version 4.14) for iOS.
Skype notes that version 4.14 will add tons of speed improvements to the application, especially during startup. The team also points out that they have been listening to user feedback and have adjusted the application accordingly, although they haven't gone into much details.
The application will get an improved sign-in screen to make it easier for users to sign in with either their Skype or Microsoft account, support for iOS 7's microphone permission feature, and also performance improvements that should help make the application feel much snappier.
The update isn't live in the App Store just yet, but Skype says the application update should go live in the App Store later today. We will keep you posted.
