Asymco analyst Horace Dediu has a buoyant outlook for Apple's market growth in the United States.
Dediu's estimates are based on a series of analytics-driven factors, including the growth of the domestic smartphone market and Apple's brand saturation and product popularity across the United States. Having gone through the mathematical motions to reach his conclusions, Dediu's conclusions are the real story.
According to the analyst, America's embrace of Apple's iPhone is about to get much, much warmer.
If the numbers projected ultimately pan out, approximately two-thirds of Americans will own and use an iPhone by 2017. Based on population estimates at that time, as many as 180 million Americans will use Apple's iPhone within four years from now.
