• Samsung Lures Former Apple Talent to Lead Retail Push

Apple isn't the only tech giant that knows how to attract top industry talent.

Katie Benner and Jessica E. Lessin of The Information exclusively reported today that Samsung has hired Tim Gudgel, a former Apple senior store designer, to help lead the South Korean company's planned retail efforts.

The hire, we're told, comes as Samsung "ponders a deeper investment in U.S. retail."

Mr. Gudgel specializes in store design and planning. Earlier in his career he worked for Gehry Partners, the firm of famed architect Frank Gehry.
The tech industry at large continues to buzz surrounding speculation that Samsung Galaxy stores could make a huge splash in tech retail in the coming years, effectively giving Apple a run for its money in the lucrative retail space.

Good. Hopefully the more these two duke it out, the better the products will be.
