Thursday morning, Apple's online store went down ahead of the Web site receiving a small update with new pages for ordering the company's new 2013 Mac Pro. The new machine has proven to be a huge hit for Apple, as shipping times for the new machine are slipping at an alarming rate.
If you wanted to get yourself one of Apple's 2013 Mac Pros, you might want to think about ordering quickly. Already, after not even 24 hours of being available to order on Apple's online store, Apple is quoting shipping estimates of around February 2014 for the new 2013 Mac Pro, as you can see from the screenshot of Apple's online store above.
This shipping estimate affects all of the available configurations. Apple offers its low-end quad-core Mac Pro starting at $2999, and better, faster configurations only go up from there. There are options for 4, 6, 8, and even 12-core Intel Xeon processors, and these machines pack in powerful dual workstation-class AMD FirePro GPUs, PCIe-based internal flash storage, and zippy ECC memory.
The Mac Pro is U.S.A.-made, and our Michael Essany says it best in saying that the Mac Pro is the "sexiest product Apple has released in a while." You can visit Apple's Web site to find out more about the 2013 Mac Pro.
