• Tim Cook is Ready to Talk Turkey

Apple CEO Tim Cook is traveling the globe this week in a presumable effort to foster new opportunities and deliver the latest Apple products to new markets around the world.

As MMi reported Sunday, Cook was spotted in the United Arab Emirates this weekend after his Friday stop in Ireland. So which global hot spot is next on the CEO's agenda? Turkey.

Government officials in the European nation confirm that Cook will sit down with the Turkish President tomorrow afternoon. Although Apple hasn't confirmed the nature of the talks, rumors have persisted for months that Turkey is considering a deal with Apple to bring thousands of iPads to the nation for educational purposes.

If the rumored deal ultimately manifests, the deal could be worth somewhere between $3-$4 billion for Apple.

It should be noted, however, that the meeting also comes as Apple plans to open its first retail store inside of Istanbul later this year.
