• Apple Adds an iTunes Festival Channel to the Apple TV Ahead of the Event

Apple recently added a new iTunes Festival channel on Apple TV, with only days left until London Grammar kicks off the first iTunes Festival being held in the United States. The channel has a performance lineup and information on every act as well as a history of the iTunes festival, details on different ways to watch it, and information on this yearís venue.

The new iTunes Festival channel on Apple TV has the same design as the festivalís recently released accompanied iOS app. As with the app, users are able to view iTunes Store links for all the artists at the five-day event as well as check performance times. Once it begins, the Apple TV channel will stream each performance in high-definition.

It was announced by Apple last month that they would be bringing the traditionally held, London iTunes Festival, to the U.S. for the first time this year at the upcoming South by Southwest music conference in Texas. However, this year, the festival will be much shorter compared to the traditional 30-day long event held in London.

The performances will be held at ACL Live at the Moody Theater in Austin, Texas. Tickets are free for people attending the conference, but everyone and anyone can watch it live through the new Apple TV channel, the web, or iOS app.
