• Yahoo Search App Updated, Sports an iOS 7 Redesign

Yahoo recently updated its official Search client for iOS to version 3.1. The new 3.1 version of Search does not include much but is still noticeably different due to the all-new design. Like many other apps, the design is updated with an iOS 7 feel, which Yahoo refers to as “minimalist.”

Search is a standard web engine app with a built-in browser and Yahoo’s services for those of you who are not familiar with it. Those invested in the Yahoo ecosystem with services such as Mail and Tumblr may find this app more beneficial than Bing or Google.

The app store says the following regarding the Search app:

Easily find the information you need when you’re on the go. The new minimalist design puts the focus on your results so you can get the information you need in a snap.
    Favorite features
    - Get instant suggestions as you type with Search Assist.
    - Go hands-free with Voice search.
    - Find local results faster with combined map and list view (US only).
    Helpful tips
    - Swipe right to toggle between web, image, and video results.
    - Clear your search history and set Safe Search preferences in Settings.
    - Refine your query by tapping the arrows next to keyword suggestions.
Yahoo’s Search app is one of many that have been redesigned and made relevant once again. It started with the Weather app and continued with a revamped Mail app. The company also seems to be making significant moves on a broader scale partnering with Apple for Stocks and Weather apps in iOS and buying Tumblr for just over $1 billion.

Those of you interested in downloading the Search app can do so for free via the App Store.

Who cares about yahoo? I think it's only the hackers that actually use it now.
