• Popular Vine Video Sharing Application for iOS Updated With Direct Messaging and More

On Tuesday, April 3rd, 2014, the highly-popular Vine video sharing social network application for iOS received an update. The update brings Vine up to version 2.0.0 on the iOS platform.

Vine notes that this is the biggest update for the application yet. The update includes new features such as the ability to message other Vine users. The social network calls this feature "Vine Messaging" and notes that it can be accessed from the navigation menu, from share buttons under videos, or from individual users' profiles.

They're "one-to-one" messages, so what you send can only be viewed by the person you send it to, and you can send videos to people one-to-one as well. You can send Vine Messages to people, whether they're a part of Vine or not, using either E-mail or SMS/iMessage, or by using the in-app function itself.

The update also gives you the ability to customize your profile color, which can be done from the settings in the Vine application, and fixes an array of different bugs, as well as improves overall performance.

Existing users of the Vine application will find the update under the Updates tab in the App Store application. Alternatively, you can download the latest version of the Vine application for free from this App Store link.
