• Facebook Rolling Out New Feature to its Apps to Find Nearby Friends

On Thursday, Facebook announced a new feature called Nearby Friends that would be rolling out to all users over time.

Nearby Friends, as Facebook notes, is an optional feature from within the application that users can enable if they want to share their location with friends on Facebook. When you get close to someone that you know, you will get a notification like the one above that tells you when friends are nearby.

Notably, you have the power to choose when and where to share your location with friends, and you can also choose who you share your location with. It's could prove to be a handy feature for anyone that might want to meet up with friends occasionally.

If you're excited to start using the feature, the good news is that it'll be coming to all users with Android and iOS devices within the next coming weeks. On the other hand, if you have no interest in using the feature, then the good news is that it's completely optional and you can disable it.

      Relative location = OK
