You're probably familiar with Skype; either you've used it before, or you've heard of it, as it's one of the most popular VoIP, video calling, and messaging applications available on nearly every platform, both stationary and mobile.

On Monday, Skype announced that the company would begin offering Mac OS X, Windows, and Xbox One users free group video calling through its application the feature was originally only available to Premium Skype users for a monthly fee, although free Skype users were always able to take advantage of one-on-one video calling.

Skype is proud that, since our beginning, weve created opportunities for people to communicate freely and easily, no matter where they are; from keeping in touch with remote family members or calling home when traveling to chatting daily with your close circles of friends. While Skype is known for one to one video calling, we know its also essential to connect with the groups of people who matter most, whether friends, family or colleagues. For the last few years, weve offered group video calling to Premium users on Windows desktop and Mac and more recently Xbox One. Today, were excited to announce that were making group video calling free for all users on these platforms. And, in the future, well be enabling group video calling for all our users across more platforms at no cost.
Skype notes that the company intends to add support for free group video calling to additional platforms in the near future. Skype offers an application on the App Store for iOS users (iPhone/iPod touch), (Skype for iPad); however, Mac OS X and Windows users will need to visit Skype's Web page to download the application for their Mac.

I haven't upgraded since they got rid of group chat editing and removal. Admins of the group can no longer moderate it.
