• Apple Offering Free iDevice and Mac Repairs to Quake Victims

Apple is offering victims of the devastating Japanese earthquake earlier this year free repairs on their Apple products affected by the disaster.

Note, this program only applies to Apple Stores in Japan. Although I'm sure if an individual were to have relocated to the United States or another country with an Apple product broken because of their time spent in Japan during the quake, accommodations could be made.

The program, outlined on Apple's Japanese website, advises those with affected devices to call the nearest Apple Store and set up an appointment rather than make one through Apple's website. The program is scheduled to run until June 30, but it is worth noting Apple, in the fine print, has reserved the right to end the program at any time.

So for those with damaged Apple products as a result of the quake should call their local Apple Store sooner than later.

Apple will provide free collection and return of the damaged goods for larger items like iMacs and Mac Pros. The service is just part of the "time or resources," Steve Jobs promised in a message to Japan-based staff in the wake of the disaster.
