• Charity Auction For Lunch With Tim Cook Closing Soon

Almost sold! Two and a half weeks ago, Charitybuzz made a campaign to raise money for the RFK Center for Justice and Human Rights. They offered bidders the opportunity to have lunch with Apple CEO, Tim Cook, on company campus located in Cupertino. The goal of the auction is set at $100,000, which was twice the amount of last year’s auction with coffee for two with Tim Cook. The clock is ticking and the auction is just about to run out on this year’s chance to have lunch with Apple CEO.

Last year’s auction had a similar prize, and the goal far exceeded the initial goal of $50,000. The auction raised a whopping $610,000 for the RFK group when it ended. However, as of right now, the number for this year’s auction is sitting around $190,000- much less than what it was last year with a little over 2 hours left before closing.

It seems as if last year’s efforts to raise money for the charity was much more successful than this year’s, but who knows, maybe a bidding war will break out in the last hour of budding. At any rate, if you plan on placing a last minute bid, make sure to keep an eye out on the auction as it is scheduled to close at 2pm EST today (May 13, 2014). Cook even added the deal on his own Twitter account for the invitation to attend a private event with the executive:
