• iOS 8 & OS X 10.10 Banners Appear at Moscone Ahead of WWDC 2014

A couple of days ago, our Michael Essany reported on the dressing up of the usual Moscone Center in San Francisco for WWDC 2014.

On Friday, banners for iOS 8 started going up, as you can see in the picture above (via BusinessInsider).

It looks as though iOS 8 will have the same font style as iOS 7 does for the most part because of the thin and skinny appearance, although the banner doesn't really give any clues about anything else apart from the very blue and watery-looking background, which may indicate a new wallpaper.

iOS 8 is expected to bring a number of new features to iOS, including a new Healthbook application, Preview & TextEdit applications, improvements to many of the stock applications, split-screen multitasking on the iPad although this feature may not yet be ready for demonstration at WWDC 2014 and many other features.

With WWDC 2014 right around the corner, be sure to stay tuned for the latest on the event. You can also download the updated WWDC 2014 application from the App Store to stay posted on the events at WWDC 2014.

Update: OS X 10.10 banners have just went up (via The Verge):

I like the change from the bright white and neon colors that the iOS 7 banners used. Maybe iOS 8 will have a more subdued color scheme, which would be welcome for me.

The OSX banner looks like something you'd find on tumblr. I mean minimalism is great, but it starts looking a bit silly.
