
Apple through the Trinidad and Tobago Intellectual Property Office may be filing upcoming product trademarks. Only after a few days of a rumored Apple-branded health app hit the web, properties for “HealthKit”, “iResearch” and “Healthbook were filed. The ‘Healthbook’ mark was lodged after a rumor about working on a health-related app under the same name surfaced the web- even though trademark filings are not attributed to Apple nor was the company even mentioned in the official filing, According to MacRumors, the website that discovered the trademarks, ‘HealthKit’, ‘iResearch’, and ‘Healthbook’ also have unattributed filings.
It is believed that Apple is working on a health track solution that could tie in with the unannounced dubbed ‘iWatch’ wearable device. Apple has been active in the health-monitoring field with collaborating with Nike and more recently introducing the iPhone 5s with M7 motion coprocessor. Other fitness apps used with their products include a custom Nike one.
Streams of reports have been circulating the web on the upcoming iWatch components. Over the last several months, Apple has been hiring experts actively in medical devices and fashion- this also hints at the company working on a stylistic wearable that has capabilities of advanced health tracking.
