
On Monday at the WWDC 2014 Keynote, Apple announced an all-new programming language called Swift that would make programming easier than ever before for iOS devices and Macs.
The new programming language is said to be much like Objective-C without the C, according to Apple's Craig Federighi – so not only is it easier to program with, but it leaves less room for mistakes, offers a ton of improvements in performance, and also makes for a much friendlier coding playground for new developers.
Apple released a new iBook in the iBooks Store called The Swift Programming Language, which can take you through some of the ins and outs of programming with Swift. It will be useful for those interested in learning about the new language.
