The upcoming Angry Birds Epic RPG game that Rovio has been teasing for months now is finally coming to the App Store in the U.S., as well as other countries. The game was soft-launched in Australia, Canada, and New Zealand back in March with the status of "Coming Soon" in other countries.
Rovio announced that the game was slated to be released officially on June 12th, which is only a couple of days from today – that's this coming Thursday.
Angry Birds Epic will be much different than any other Angry Birds game. It won't involve flinging birds at fortresses set up by pigs. Instead, it's a role-playing game that features battles between characters that feature weapons, magic, potions, upgrades, and more. You can play as most of your favorite classic Angry Birds, and upgrade your weapons by way of unlocking in-game content, or by using in-app purchases.
