Apple’s new iPad Air and iPad Mini are expected to expand use of the Touch ID fingerprint sensor when it gets released later this year. However, new photos released by Nowhereelse.fr show there’s more in store for the devices. The new photos are of an alleged “perfect replica” of the new iPad Air and it seems as if there may be some additional changes to it. Not only does the replica depict the expected Touch ID home button for the device, a few changes in physical features seem to be present as well.

A noticeable tweak to the iPad Air includes a new speaker grille with larger holes in a single row on each side of the lightning port. The current iPad Air sports a double row of smaller holes. Another tweak is in the volume buttons, which shows less protruding buttons like the current one does. Nowhereelse.fr notes that the mute switch is missing as well.
Apple’s usual timeframe to launch its new products tend to be in October, so it can be expected for the company to release it’s new devices this upcoming fall. Rumors are going around expecting Apple to be launching it’s new iPhone (dubbed the ‘iPhone 6”), the iWatch, new iPads, and possibly even a 12-inch Macbook Air with Retina display.
