• Google Maps iOS App Updated With Improvements for Search Results and More

On Friday, Google released an update for the popular Google Maps navigation application for the iOS platform affecting iPhones, iPod touches, and iPads. The latest version of the popular maps application in the iOS App Store is now version 3.2.0.

The update focuses primarily on improvements for any search results that the user will get after searching for something using the Search Bar. Notably, when the user searches for something, the application will now include descriptions for places right on the map so that the user can easily decide if it's what they want to navigate to or not. Search results can also be viewed on the map, or in a list mode, depending on what the user feels more comfortable with.

Google has also improved the information that the maps display for you. If you're a Gmail user and have any reservations or events set for the future, Google Maps will now show those reservations or events labeled right on your maps so that you can easily see them.

Existing users of the Google Maps application for iOS will find this update under the Updates tab in the App Store application. Alternatively, you can download the latest version of Google Maps for iOS for free from this App Store link.
