• Shazam’s iOS App Gets Rdio Integration in New Update

Shazam, a music and television show discovery app, recently released an update that integrates Rdio, an Internet radio service. According to Billboard, Shazam now features a full list of “Shazamed” songs via partnership with Rdio. Full versions of songs are only accessible to current Rdio for-pay service subscribers and users can just click the Rdio preview button to hear the full version. Users who are not yet subscribers, will be asked to join when the ‘preview’ button is pressed. Daniel Danker, Shazam’s chief product officer states,

It's tedious to leave and come back. What we're launching today is supercharged with Rdio — the play button gets an Rdio logo in it, literally every play button in Shazam will have one once it's connected.
Users won’t get kicked out of Shazam anyore and get sent to a third-party app when they want to listen to the full song that was discovered. It was announced that Apple and Shazam will be partnering up so that the service’s content recognition feature will be in iOS 8. In other words, users on iOS 8 will be able to simply as Siri to identify songs using voice command.

Version 7.7.0 of Shazam is 29.8MB and can be downloaded for free. Rdio is 40.8MB and will also need to be downloaded.
