• Several New Apple Products May Be Delayed, Say Sources

As we inch closer to a new and refreshed product cycle from Apple, the rumor mill begins churning with extra gusto.

Such is the case again today as rampant speculation out of the Asian supply channel indicates that product delays loom large for several planned refreshed next-gen Apple products.

A Taiwanese publication called UDN indicates today that Apple's "phablet" - the 5.5-inch iPhone 6 - as well as the next-gen iPad Mini and iPad Air won't be ready to enter mass production for at least two more months.

If you're keeping score at home, that means these gadgets likely won't be ready to ship in mid-September as some had hoped. Although plans still call for Apple's iPhone 6 (non-phablet model) to reach consumers before the end of September, this device may have a very lonely journey to consumers as the other devices mentioned likely won't see Apple Store shelves at the same time.

So, could all of this chatter be fabricated or grossly exaggerated? Of course, that's possible. But the intensity and frequency of these reports may be telling us something.

"According to fresh reports coming from the Chinese media, the 5.5-inch iPhone 6 hasnít entered its mass production stages just yet, further cementing the theory that the 5.5-inch model will be launched later than the smaller variant," GforGames reported Friday. "Whether or not this alleged decision is deliberate remains unknown."
