• Apple Reportedly Planning to Ship 80 Million iPhone 6 Handsets Before End of 2014

Apple just finished announcing the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus on Tuesday and they're about to go on pre-order starting tomorrow. The devices will be available to the public officially starting next Friday, September 19th.

If you're worried that you might be waiting a while for your order to arrive, you can probably relax. Apple's supply chains are well-prepared to handle the mass of orders that they're about to receive. Apple is reportedly preparing to ship more than 80 million variations of iPhone 6/iPhone 6 Plus before the end of 2014, according to DigiTimes; that's 20 million more shipments than the iPhone 5 had back in 2013.

Apple's iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus both offer larger displays that that market has been demanding for years, so it's no doubt that Apple will have a lot of sales in terms of the iPhone 6 and/or iPhone 6 Plus. Other new features in the new handsets will also drive sales, like the NFC technology, improved cameras, better battery life, faster wireless performance, and zippier new A8 and M8 chips.

Are you one of the many people that will be taking home one of those 80 million handsets before the end of 2014?

Ship and actually have a person purchase are two different things.
