• State of the Art 27-inch iMac on the Way, Sources Say

Sources in the Far East assert that even as Apple prepares to launch its next-generation mobile devices to unprecedented global media fanfare and consumer interest, the company continues to ready other releases for later this fall.

Digitimes (via WitsView) revealed Friday that Apple is on pace to roll out state-of-the-art high-resolution monitors before year's end.

Citing sources in the know, Apple will purportedly launch 27-inch 5K3K high-resolution iMac models in time for the holiday shopping season. We're told the new iMacs as well as other Ultra HD monitors "are expected to spur a new wave of demand for Ultra HD monitors in the market."

Both the availability and stronger demand of Ultra HD monitors are expected to impact their average selling price in the near future. As of the most recent data available (August) 28-inch Ultra HD monitors are going for an average price of $630.
