• Dropbox iOS App Updated for iOS 8, Recommends Installing Before Updating to iOS 8

When iOS 8 was released today, many Dropbox users were plagued by issues trying to upload files to their Dropbox account using the iOS application. Fortunately, Dropbox was quick to release an update for the application, and version 3.4 is now available in the App Store.

Version 3.4 adds official iOS 8 support and restores the ability for using the automatic backup feature in iOS 8. Dropbox recommends that you install this update on your iOS 7 device before you upgrade to iOS 8, but also notes that if you're already upgraded to iOS 8, you should install the update anyways.

The update also makes it so that iOS 8 users can save their recent activity under the Today widget in Notification Center. iOS 8 users will also be able to open their Dropbox files from other applications in iOS, and use other applications to save files to Dropbox.

Shared folders can also be created from the Dropbox application.

Existing users of the Dropbox application will find this update under the Updates tab in the App Store application. Alternatively, you can download the latest version of Dropbox for free from this App Store link.
