• Real Steel Goes Free in the iOS App Store as This Week's App of the Week

It has been a big week for Apple they've launched iOS 8 to the public, released an update for OS X Mavericks, and they've even updated a whole boat-load of their applications. But among the business, the company still found time to follow its ritualistic practice of choosing one special application in the iOS App Store to be deemed the "App of the Week." Last week, Apple picked Bicolor to be the App of the Week, but this week, Apple has chosen Real Steel to go free (usually a 99 purchase) until next Thursday as the App of the Week.

Real Steel is a robot-fighting game in which you can pick and customize your own robot from head to toe, and then pitch it against other robots. There are a number of different levels to fight through, and achievements to be earned through the challenges that the game has to offer. There are 33 different robots to pick from, and each time you complete a chapter, you have the ability to unlock one of eight special robots.

Real Steel is based on the DreamWorks movie (IMDb link) starring Hugh Jackman, and it puts you in control of the robots so that you can have some fun of your own. The gas has 6 different battle modes, and even includes a tag-team mode so you're not fighting alone.

If you want to grab Real Steel while it's currently free in the iOS App Store, you can grab it from this App Store link.
