• iFixit Begins Teardown of iPhone 6 Plus, Huge Battery, A8 Chip, and More Found Inside

iFixit has gotten its hands on a gold iPhone 6 Plus and has commenced a tear-down of the new handset.

The tear-down is currently in the middle of taking place, and so far, it reveals a huge battery rated at 2915 mAh, which is almost double the battery capacity of the iPhone 5s. Apple's new iPhone 6 Plus has the best battery life of any iPhone to date, and with that monstrous size, that's no surprise.

The tear-down also reveals the guts of Apple's iPhone 6 Plus, 1 GB of RAM and the Apple A8 SOC (along with the M8 motion co-processor), which offers a 25% processing boost over the A7 chip, and a 50% graphics boost over the A7 chip:

To stay updated on iFixit's teardown, the repairability score, you can check out the teardown on iFixit's Web page at this link.

Update: Upon completion of the tear-down, iFixit gives the iPhone 6 Plus a 7 out 10 repairability score.

Now let's see if it's just a rouse. Apple has lied about every battery since 4S. Last great battery was the 4. 2 full days before a charge. 4S, 5, 5S all lies..

Looks similar to a 5/5s take apart. Good for screen repairs

What makes you say that? The article says it's much easier to take apart and repair than the 5s due to the cable being re-routed.
