• Tim Cook to Appear at WSJ’s ‘WSJDLive’ Conference Being Held in October

Yahoo Finance has reported that The Wall Street Journal will be hosting an upcoming technology conference being held in October and it’s called WSJDLive. WSJ’s very own editor in chief, Gerard Baker, will be hosting this event. It has been noted so far that Apple CEO Tim Cook will be making an appearance at the conference as well as Xiaomi’s current VP and previous Google exec Hugo Barra. Executives from SoundCloud, Microsoft, Waze, Huawei, Universal Music Group, and Alibaba’s Jack Ma should also be attending the conference.

In the past “D” conferences, previous Apple CEO Steve Jobs has made appearances as well. This was when Kara Swisher and Walt Mossberg hosted the previous Wall Street Journal conferences and still worked at WSJ. Since their departure, they have started Recode.net and held their own event called the Code Conference, typically held in May. WSJDLive will run from October 27th to the 29th for 3 days, and is an invite only event. It has yet to be announced if streaming will be available for this conference, so stay tuned for more information and updates as it gets closer.
