• Samsung to Reportedly Provide Apple With iPad Air 2 and iPad Pro Displays

It was reported about two weeks ago that Apple rejected Samsung for their upcoming wearable device’s display. However, new reports are claiming that the Korean-based company will be supplying Apple displays for the iPad Air 2 and 12.9-inch iPad Pro. Reports come from DigiTimes who translated it from original Korean news site Inews24. The production is expected to start in the upcoming months. Apple has yet to announce the release of either devices but it has been rumored that the iPad Pro will be released early next year and the iPad Air 2 sometime at the end of this year.

For those who do not already know, Samsung and Apple are big time rivalries in the smartphone industry. Recent reports claimed that Samsung decided to release their Galaxy Note 4 earlier than noted because of the recent success of Apple’s iPhone 6 lineup. However, it has been known that Samsung was the top supplier of Apple’s iPad displays in Q1 2014 due to their technological advantages as well as production capacity. Everyone is expecting the Cupertino-based company to announce the new iPad Air 2 and iPad Pro at their upcoming October event. We will keep everyone updated when more news of these devices come out.
