Now we know why Apple's interest in the wearables market has been rumored about for years.
Apple's actual interest in this market has been legitimate since before Steve Jobs' passing in October 2011.
In Europe this week where Apple made a fashionable flash in Paris yesterday for Fashion Week, Apple design guru Jony Ive is quoted extensively by Vogue in a new interview published today.
“It’s strange when you’ve been working on something for three years . . .” Ive says, speaking about the Apple Watch.
He describes the trajectory of clocks to watches: from a public clock in a Bavarian square to timepieces owned by royalty, to military chronometers, to the watch’s arrival, only at the beginning of the twentieth century, on the wrist.
Nonetheless, the interview is an interesting one and definitely worth a read. To check it out, click here.
