• Apple's New iPad May be Looking at an October 24th Launch Date

It has been reported by MacRumors that Apple has already shipped new product into the U.S. in mass quantities ahead of its October 16th event. The product is apparently also being set up for an availability date of Friday, October 24th, according to the unknown source. The Cupertino-based company’s next event is one day away and the new iPad Air 2 is expected to be announced. It is unclear as to which product was shipped, but considering how photos of new iPad parts were leaked along with the expected upcoming announcement, it is highly assumed to be the iPad.

The reports are highly believable though, as Apple typically launches their devices not too long after announcing them. The company did the same with this year’s iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, as the media event was held on September 9th and the devices were launched shortly after on September 19th. Apple announced the iPad Air and Retina iPad Mini on October 22nd last year, and the iPad Air was released on November 1st. The exception however, is if the company is short in supply (like last year’s Retina iPad Mini) or has production limitations (in regards to the Apple Watch).

If all recent reports are true, then we should be seeing a new iPad in a possible new Gold color with Touch ID software, an A8X chip, and 2GB RAM on Friday, October 24th. Preorders on the device have yet to be announced, and it is unclear as to whether Apple will even be offering that option. Are you excited for the new iPad? Let us know in the comments below.
