• WatchKit SDK to be Made Available to Developers in November

In order to help prepare for the upcoming launch of the Apple Watch, the Cupertino California company recently announced a new software developer kit called WatchKit. The kit is specifically designed to help developers create apps for the much-anticipated wearable device.

Apple CEO Tim Cook announced WatchKit on stage and stated that it will be made available to developers next month, just in time for app creation and testing before the Apple Watch hardware makes its debut sometime early next year.

It should be noted that when Apple first showed off the Apple Watch at the iPhone 6 event back in September, only a few first-party apps were shown. With the upcoming WatchKit SDK, the smartwatch should have additional apps for user to choose from at launch.

No additional information was mentioned about the device’s release date so we know nothing other than “early 2015.”
