The October 16th event held by Apple was a successful one to say the least. After the reveal, Apple posted two new advertisements for its new iPad and iMac products onto their YouTube account. Before Apple CEO Tim Cook took the stage to announce the new iPad Air, a teaser snippet was shown to the audience. Last year’s iPad Air was compared to a No. 2 pencil in how it’s even thinner than that of a pencil. This year’s advertisement also showed a pencil but this time, all you see is the utensil. Then a laser trims down the thickness of the pencil and you see a hand picking up the iPad Air in a new gold color, which was hidden in back. The new color offered on the iPad Air completes the three colors to match the iPhone lineup.

The second video is a clip in which Apple SVP of Hardware Engineering, Dan Riccio goes into detail of the newly announced 5K Retina Display iMac. The new 27-inch iMac has 14.6 million pixels, a 5,120 x 2,880 pixel pane and was announced as being 7 times that of a normal HD display.

Apple’s last and final advertisement displays all current products from the Cupertino-based company and is titled 'Evolution of Retina'. The video starts off with the new iPhone 6, then the audience sees the new iPad Air and iPad Mini, then the MacBook Pro and lastly the new Retina iMac is revealed.
