• The Pangu Application From Your iOS 8 Jailbreak Can Now Install/Update Cydia

If you're jailbroken using the Pangu iOS 8 jailbreak tool, then you can now use the Pangu application on your iOS device to install the latest version of Cydia installer on your device.

The latest version of Cydia Installer, version 1.1.15, was released earlier today with official fixes for the passcode and Touch ID problems that could cause boot loops on a jailbroken device. With that being said, this official update is recommended for all users of the iOS 8 jailbreak. It also includes a variety of other fixes that will make using Cydia on your iOS 8 device much more pleasant.

The Pangu jailbreak tool for iOS 8 does not currently bundle Cydia with the jailbreak automatically, so this is a good workaround for the time being. Pangu is expected to release an English version of Pangu for Windows soon with official bundling support for Cydia in the near future, which will make jailbreaking iOS 8 much more user friendly for the masses.

Because Cydia can now be installed directly from the Pangu application, it is no longer necessary for users to SSH the third-party application into their devices anymore.

We will continue to keep you updated on the progress of the upcoming jailbreak tool, so stay tuned!

So can we leave passcode on wen we install cydia through the pangu app, or as a precaution leave it off then turn it on after we install cydia?

After you install the latest version of Cydia, you can enable a Passcode. Saurik has verified it to be safe in version 1.1.15.

Leave it off until you jailbreak, install cydia and update both the substrate and the cydia installer. After that reboot and you can reactive your pass code/touch id

      Thanks Gents

Ok i did a fresh RESTORE backed up from iCloud put my apps back ect… And, Did the Cydia substrate instal an updated everything in Cydia as well, (all at the same time) and everything is 100% ok it reboots fine

But I have one question? With the old move.sh boot loop fix we only could only utilize 250mb to instal Cydia tweaks an apps. Now after the Cydia installer update can we instal as much as we could before, (as much as our phones could hold, (i have iphone 6 128gb ios 8.1)

      Thanks in advance :-)

Most tweaks aren't even a megabyte. That's a lot of tweaks you'd have to install. I don't think themes and stuff count against that do they?

Really? And the battery drain is that bad? Did you do all the regular tricks to minimize battery drain even without a jailbreak?

I took my phone off the charger at 12:30am with 98% and woke up with 95%. I put my phone airplane mode so I wouldn't have any alerts and notifications.
