United Airlines has recently announced that they will be having an iPad makeover at its main terminal in Newark International Airport located in New Jersey. It has been reported that the airline plans on putting down $120 million to upgrade its main terminal at Newark Airport. Although Newark has been noted to be the 14th busiest airport in the country, it is also currently ranked one of the worst. We suppose this is their way to distract incoming flyers.
The airline had a recent interview with Bloomberg in which Mary Clark, United’s spokesperson, said the makeover is supposed to be a way for customers to enjoy their extended waits. According to Bloomberg:
From our perspective what we’re looking for, and what we look for in all of our hubs, is something that’s going to be a benefit for our customers — something that’s going to make the time they spend in the airport more productive, more enjoyable, comfortable.
