• Apple Releases OS X Yosemite 10.10.1 to the Public Following Release of iOS 8.1.1

On Monday, following the release of iOS 8.1.1 to the public, the Cupertino-based technology giant released a software update for its desktop operating system, OS X Yosemite.

Version 10.10.1 of OS X Yosemite is now available for Mac users by way of the Updates tab in the Mac App Store. It can also be accessed from the Software Update option from the  button in the Menu Bar.

OS X Yosemite 10.10.1 fixes problems having to do with reliability of Wi-Fi, reliability with Microsoft Exchange server connectivity, reliability of the Mail application with certain e-mail service providers, and reliability of Back to My Mac connections.

The update is free and is recommended to all Mac OS X users. A restart will be required after the installation, so saving your progress in any applications you have open is recommended so that you don't lose what you were working on.
